How long Land Registry to update

Hi, I have recently cleared balance held on my Nationwide Mortgage.
How long will it take for the charge to be removed from Land Registry? I would like to transfer the property to my wife's name and I was told I cannot do that until the charge is removed from the property.
Thanks
MS

Have you spoken with Nationwide? They might still hold a charge despite no outstanding balance.
You can as part of the transfer to your wife get the charges removed.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Have you asked the NW. As it is their internal process that's the key.0

I haven't asked Nationwide yet but Land Registry shows as charge outstanding. As it was a recent change I thought it might take some time before it will change over.
I asked a solicitor if transfer of property can be done with evidence from Nationwide that charge has been fully paid. He said no. charge has to be removed first. Will Land registry accept documents from Nationwide and transfer the property + remove the charge?0 -
Nationwide will remove their charge as part of the redemption process.0
