Restrictions on the land registry - interest question

Hello everyone,
In the past I have been very lax about dealing with my financial situation. I'm trying my hardest to deal with each issue one by one and have now come up against a restriction on my title at the land registry for a credit card I defaulted on.
The restriction was placed in 2011 and I'm guessing it would be for around £2500 at the time if I guess at court fees etc. I don't have any of the papers related to this. I don't think I even opened them at the time.
I've emailed the solicitors who placed the restriction but am yet to hear back.
What I'd like to know is, will I have been being charged interest on this debt? And if I have does anyone have any idea of how much it would be?
Thanks for your help everyone. This is a long road for sure!!!

When the debt went to court, it would of been frozen.
A creditor cant add interest to a defaulted/sold debt, unless the original agreement allowed them to do so.
You would of paid court fees though probably.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you very much for this information, it's making me feel a lot better to know.
One question, is it likely that the original agreement allowed for interest to be added? It was, ironically, a credit rate fixing capital one card.

You would need to read the terms and conditions of your agreement to be sure, but normally a credit card account should not attract extra interest after default or sale.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
