Too much chilli in chilli!

Arggghhhhhh I thought I was being all organised making dinner this morning as going out for afternoon with lo.
Made batch of chilli and used chilli oil, misread the recipe and put cayenne pepper instead of paprika! Then looking through the freezer and saw I had a load of small peppers in there from when a friend bag me a bag of random veg she had frozen. Put 3 "peppers" in the pan and was cutting up the other 3 and thought I'd check they were peppers by licking a little bit and realised they are chillis!
Have dug out what I can from the pan (some a red so now can't distinguish between the tomatoes! Luckily I chopped them big!
I've added some additional water, is there anything I can do to reduce the chilli kick? Oh and lo can't eat too spicy food

Sour cream/natural yoghurt should cool it down a bit.0

Bulk it out with some lentils / beans / other veg, to spread the spiciness across more portions. You can always freeze the excess for an easy dinner another time.Back after a very long break!0

There's rarely anything called "too much chilli ..." - that's the point of it. Too many wishy washy mince casseroles are being passed off as chilli

Yogurt and creme fraiche would help, water will only dilute the chilli but the intensity of the heat will still be there. Anything dairy based will help dial down the spiciness! :jI am the shoreline, but you're the sea... :heartsmil0 -
Either use yoghurt or creme fraiche to cool it add more tomatoes and beans/lentils/veg to make more portions of a less spicy chilli.Part time working mum of DS (2015) and DD (2018).

If you add some potatoes, then they will help absorb the chilli.0

The only sure-fire way to deal with this is to make a second batch without any chilli/curry, combine the two and freeze the extra for later. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
