BLT mortgages on tenanted houses

Hi,

Just wanted to know if you can get a BLT mortgage on an already tenanted house. Want to buy from an auction but can't find any info if this option is possible.

Any help and advice would really be appreciated:confused:

    Yes you can but check its an assured shorthold tenancy and not something like a restricted tenancy

    That amused me, little things do!

    On a serious note, my sis-in-law bought with a BTL and the property had sitting tenants so I'm assuming it's possible but don't have any details.

    There are many lenders that will do BTL mortgages but it is a confusing market for the uninitiated. Probably best to seek the advice of a non fee charging whole of market broker.
