Buying a new bed

Hi everyone,

My hubby and I want to buy a new bed, but where is best to go for both value and quality.

Has anyone bought a bed recently and/or could anyone make recomendations of where/where not to go. We can go to Belfast, Bangor and Newtownabbey areas.

Thanks in advance :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi

We have just bought a new bed and its fab! We were EVERYWHERE! We eventually bought ours from Keens on the corner of Templemore Ave in East Belfast. They have all budgets covered. We were stunned to find out that beds are soooo expensive. Ended up buying a silent night base and a Sealy mattress. I cant recommend it enough.

    Happy shopping x

I bought a king size bed frame from Discount Beds in East Belfast, off the Newtonards road. The bed frame itself is great quality.

I then bought a really good king size mattress from Dreams on the Boucher road. They do 0% finance, so rather than chucking out 900 quid at once I just paid it off over 10 months very comfortably.

Spend as much as you can on a quality mattress and you cant go wrong.

I went with a friend who was buying a new bed some months back. It was on the Newtownards Road, sold other furniture beds upstairs, can't remember the name:o:o:o:o

Anyway, the guy was really honest, the base of beds are made very cheaply and its the mattress which you really need to pay attention to. People buy new beds when they perhaps should just buy a very good quality mattress.

She did have to buy whole thing as a fire in the bedroom destroyed the bed.

If money was no object, I'd buy one of those hypnos beds they have in premier inn hotels

I've a kingsize hypnos and harrison. Beat money I ever spent.
The harrison just beats the hypnos.
The premier Inn ones look like great value.

This shop Curio used to be in the city centre but have moved 2 miles out & have 20 different beds on display with double mattresses from£79-£700, I bought my daughter this white bed, a steal at £129
best to spend a little extra on the mattress.

Thanks for all the replies. I will have a look at a few of the suggested places above.

  • Hi karmartello,

Did you end up getting a new bed? I have recently had a bed delivered from a company in Leicester, with the funky name " Get Laid Beds ".
