SORRY FOR BUMP!
When entering this comp as its live stock please realise that the koi shown will continue to grow, a koi of this size (15") requires around 150 gallons of adequate filtered water on its own (not including other fish!), the rule is 10 gallons per inch with adequate filtration (not black boxes or container filtration!), personally i think a fish of this size would not suit a pond under 1500l ~ 350 gallon.
You are not a koi Keeper but a keeper of water!
P.s yes i keep koi!Goal --> 2016 Competition Wins 1/120 -
Sorry don't shot me for being a do gooder or anything but isn't it morally wrong to give away live animals of any sort as a competition prize? Be it a fish. dog, cat or a person - I objected strongly to a Sun competition to give away a date with a lady (Page 3 model) as a prize!!
Koi are beautiful creatures and require specialist care - maybe give away a pond but not a fish - or am I wrong??0
