After 5 years of paying £500 a month im very pleased to say myself and my partner have paid off over half of our debt!
For all those contemplating starting a debt management plan I cant express in words how much this has helped us, freed us even.
I look back now at how we struggled when we were trying to keep up with our bills and I cant even imagine how we coped, it was literally a living hell.
Im beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, its always quicker on your journey back and our journey back to financial freedom will be a little quicker (we hope!)
we have been putting money into a share save scheme, sneaky I know, should have paid it off the debts, but, this scheme has trebled the money people have put in consistently for the last 9 years so we didn't want to pass it up the last time it was offered, it matures in the next year and a half ( talk about wishing your life away ) we should come out with around 8k, by that time we would have paid another 9k off our debt leaving 19k..............im wondering, realistically how much of a dent can we make in that 19k with only 8k with full and final offers? most of our debts have been passed onto debt collectors now apart from Lloyds bank ( 2 loans ) and Barclaycard ( credit card ) anyone been there done that?

Congratulations on your journey. I think you may be pleasantly surprised at the results you get with F&F's with potentially that amount of money to throw at them. Just remember to start low, and if the offers is/are refused then it leaves you with the option to increase.
It's a bit like a game of poker, there's an element of bluffing involved. Keep us posted as to how you get on. Good luck, and again well done!0
