Anyone who is struggling to make pizza with good results
You need to put the oven and pizza stone in on full blast for an hour
before the pizza goes in. The oven needs to be screaming hot
Easiest and fastest way is to use a pizza tray on the stone not the ones with the holes in they are Micky mouse
Something like this one managed to grab these from amazon two weeks ago £1.62 for four now over £13 each
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000A42CW0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
Why do you find this better than putting the bread direct onto the stone? I find I get a better base this way as I think the stone sort of sucks moisture out of the base. Mmmmm, crispy.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

But might just build one myself.
Dave if you have room in your garden and are willing to do a bit of graft
There are loads of videos and tutorials online and all you need is some sand cement a few blocks or stone and some timber and time
I could build a full size one for around £100 in materials
A friend of mine built one around a space hopper then burst the space hopper when the cement had set and it looks amazing
Another friend of mine built one from reclaimed fire bricks that he got for free from old industrial sites sticking out of the ground

All coupons from the mag accepted in T.....rice is down to 50p, comfort and frozen BBQ food.
Got 3 of the BBQ for £3.....thanks to Braveheart was it? Just checked them out and I'd have been disappointed paying 3 for £6 never mind full price  how the supermarket marketing guys have the muggle shoppers sussed out:o
We had a lovely timeWe were sitting out in the garden till 7:30. Funnily enough we had the barbecue stuff from Tesco. £1 a go is OK, as you say would not pay £2.50 each for them though

Well done mrs nerf. :T
Haven't managed to donate yet so will need gentle reminder tomorrow evening please.
Latest craze on campsite beer bottle tops being played like marbles. We have had youngsters come knocking to see if we had any. Excitement at being given Hobgoblin ones, apparently they are rare. Mr TS says he should start charging. :rotfl:0 -

It cooks quicker and you can make the pizza hours before giving the dough a second chance to rise
And as long as you brush the tray with olive oil and the pizza base before adding anything you will get a crisp base with a soft center
Also its better to use chopped tin tomatoes strain off the excess juice heat in a pan with some garlic and leave to cool then add some good quality balsamic
If you have a good technique with the paddle and use plenty of semolina flour on the paddle then the stone is OK
Once the pizza is prepared you can freeze on the tray and cook from frozen if you desire
