I'm sick of broad beans, I never want to see one again :o we brought home some onions today, new potatoes were good and plentiful, main one lot of main crop looks like they might have early signs of blight so they'll have to come up soon - no blimmin good when I'm low carbing :rotfl: disappointed with this years raspberries, I think they did better last year in pots. Toms all still green at the mo, you just know they'll be ready when we're away :rotfl:

I've never cooked pattypaw but would imagine you'd cook it like potatoes :o

Your hols will do you the absolute world of good :A:)

lol Have just bought the broad bean seeds to sow in autumn. All seeds are reduced in Wilko's (75% off) and half price in local garden centre. Doing a mystery shop there on Monday. So an even bigger saving.:D
Think that I have enough onions and shallots until this time next year.:D Potatoes are good so far, I eat SW way of life so pots are good. Murphy's Law says that everything is ready when you're away. Neighbouring allotmenteer is going to have a go at cooking the pattypaw first.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Curly kale has been very prolific as well. Popeye eat your heart out. :p

Looking forward to my hols. Being selfish :o but my diet for the last 11 months has been hospitals/doctors/nursing homes for my nearest's and dearest's :o (I do appreciate that there are others worse off :o and was lucky to have had some respite) /looking after DGC (:-)) and work.

What is your countdown to your holiday now?

We went on the hop on, hop off bus which was great, Dublin is quite spread out - maybe its possible to have a complete mini bus and driver to yourself - might be cheaper?
Dublin has a gorgeous park and zoo

thanks good idea will have to look into that, we may do the zoo actually as everyone would like that going to talk to girls tomorrow xx

Make sure you tell your driver you want the live zoo, not the dead zoo - that's what they call the Natural History museum :) :rotfl:
Unless its raining and then the Dead Zoo is the ideal place :)

Just had a quick look - Dublin mini bus hire have 24 seater buses with drivers - ring for a quote - I expect you could get them to collect you from the port - do a city tour and then drop the men off at the brewery if they want to go or the park and zoo

Just done a google for free things to do in Dublin but it's mainly museums and art galleries etc, the very small ones get fed up easily -
It gets very busy in the city centre - might be a lot of walking for the little ones but if you do have a look for the elephant - yes there is one :)

:T:T Have done this a few times

We usually get on the open top bus & do a tour. You can get on & off when you want too.

    The commentators are brilliant.
We got off & toured the Guinness Factory at St James.
You get taken up to the zoo & parliament & all around the colleges.
End back up in town & enjoy Grafton St & O'Connell St before you have to walk back to fast ferry.
Fabulous - enjoy - plus €€€€s are cheap to buy at the moment :D

    Re City Sightseeing Buses
Have a look on wowcher, I think there was an offer on there for cheap tickets if I remember correctly, as I was browsing yesterday looking for hair dressers!
