One of the funniest things I've seen on here and I can't remember who it was, was when someone was asking to identify a hovering bird, always in the same place! The thing that really puzzled me was that it was black, I googled and googled black birds of prey and just couldn't work it out. Until someone posted a pic of a bird scarer and whoever had asked the question was saying yes that's it. Whenever we walk down the canal and see the bird scarers it makes me laugh and I have told so many people that story. Sorry to whoever it was I'm not laughing at you it just really amused me x0

It was me Di:o:rotfl:
I watched it for weeks as I drove down the back lane ....I took loads of photographs too...then spotted a line/ wire from the bird down to the ground. Instead of assuming the obvious ie a bird scarer I thought someone had a bird of prey tied to their hand and they were training it. I got all indignant and drove down to the field to confront the person and made my discovery:eek:
What a nugget I am:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau
