mhoc - in answer to your question on the other thread:
"When you bank a cheque at a Post Office how long is it before it shows in your First Direct current account online?"
It takes one day longer than paying into HSBC.0 -

Single airbeds at Millets £6 plus £1 for click and collect but there's a 10% no minimum spend code floating around on Google so £6.40 each. Doubles in sale too.

No I mean days. :rotfl:
Have been known to open a bottle of white on a Friday night and not finish it until Tuesday evening. That would be giving it a miss on one or two of those nights.
What day is it? I didn't open a bottle this week did I. I had Pimms well Jeeves over the manor this weekend but brought half bottle back.0 -
Just got back from Morries :rotfl: ...no whoopsies at all but we do have breakfast provisions now.Nope old wives tale put a spoon in the neck of the bottle. Not sure if it really works or not but still fizzy 3 days after opening. I have on average 2 glasses of an evening when I open one and no one else here drinks it.
Not only tiny shoes in your house!
2 glasses is 2/3rd's a bottle isn't it #CHEEKY :cool:0 -
:eek:Well, after one week of waiting in for Yodel:
Day 1 - calling card left at someone else's house
Day 2 - never left depot as address incomplete!
Day 3 - attempted delivery - couldn't gain access
Day 4 - I had to go out!!!
Day 5 - after speaking to Escalations was assured would be delivered as driver would be given map and my telephone number
- never left depot
Day 6 - out for delivery, calling card left - but not at my house
Day 7 - I cancelled my order and arranged for new one to be sent to different address.
5 o'clock today, guess what turned up?
Still all credit to Vax. Rang them to tell them and they said I can keep both pressure washers as not worth them bothering to get one returned and to make uo for my inconvenience. Earlier in the week they also sent me some detergent as a gesture of goodwill
On speaking to Yodel customer services many times I gleaned that:
"I'll write down your detailed instructions for finding your house but very few of the drivers ever look at them "
"The driver won't phone you as we don't issue them with company mobiles and they won't use their own "
Oh, by the way this was my £41 pressure washer that someone posted about so think I have really got myself a bargain!

That's the last day for entering codes. You can, according to the terms, claim any rewards won later and in any event the rewards are valid for 14 days from claiming.
True, and any remaining codes can still be entered until 11th September and then go in a prize draw for £1000.
