Hello all:o
Well i feel like a new woman! after several days of being VERY emotional (thanks to all who put up with me, and sorry, i promise it won't happen again:o ) i feel -almost- human.
The whole process was so painless and easy.
Can i say that Blackpool County Court are ace to deal with and the clerks etc are lovely.
They are so busy that i didn't have to see the judge, he just signed it 'when he had a minute' then i waited around for over an hour...then a quick chat with a case worker on the phone who informed me the OR would call me in the next 10 days or so. I really wish it had been done there n then just to get the whole thing over and done with completely, but at least things are really moving now.
The only down side to the whole thing was i stuffed a sweet in my mouth in the waiting area, then choked REALLY badly on it. NOT ONE person even turned my way!!!, tears were streaming down my red face and i was making noises like a cow giving birth for a good two minutes and not ONE person rushed up to give me the hindlick (sp) manoeuvre. No one even looked up, except the clerk who gave me a wry smile:mad:
A HUGE added bonus was they had accepted my claim for exemption of court fees (something, because they are so over worked at the moment) that they hadn't informed me of, so i came away with £150 that i didn't think i had. This went on a large bottle of some liquid comfort (HIC!:D )
I still don't feel its completely sunk in and i'm certainly NOT celebrating, but as has been said, its NOT the be all and end all.
A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help and support i've received. I really mean this. Without this site i honestly don't know how i would have coped. Your all wonderful people.:p

The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Well done, really happy for you that everything went well, think it's like a BR relief club, you can't know the relief until you've been through it yourself

Well done.

The idea of it all is intimidating, but like you most find the reality far from it.
It's funny how it effects different people. Some are quite literally jumping up and down with relief after, while others take ages for it all to sink in (plus every emotion in between).
Welcome to a brand new start without all that debt.

I'm VERY pleased for you, bltn. And for severe 36.
I hope that the OR appointment goes well, and that you can, BOTH, look forward to an early discharge.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
