Tax question

You are being harsh tara747. !!!!!!, people don't know until they know.
If this is the first time the OP is submitting a self-assessment tax return then they have to learn how to do it.
By your rationale people shouldn't be allowed to drive cars cos they can't do it straight away so they are a danger to other people.
I see you deleted your post. How come?
My point was simply that most people would not start a business without knowing how much tax they'll be liable to pay.
And I didn't delete my post, I'm assuming one of the mods did that. I'm actually pleased that the OP quoted it above, so that you can see that I haven't stooped to name-calling or the like.
I apologised for offending the OP and he responded by calling me a troll. Nice.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

You got what you deserved Tara....he asked a simple question and you were very rude in your reply, and that was not your point that he should know about tax before becoming a landlord?? He has to April next year to sort out his tax return which would have no bearing whatsoever on his role as landlord to a tenant..........And you called that an apology. Your attitude was uncalled for. You implied that he was nothing more than one of your previous landlords and wasn't any better than them while not even reading what he asked. Perhaps you re read his question, and then perhaps you issue him a proper apology. Oh and by the way there are !!!! tenants as well as landlords!!0

1. You should know how much tax you will have to pay before starting a business. Simple, really. What if he only found out when doing his return that he'd be liable for X amount of tax and didn't have enough put away to cover it?
2. I did not liken him to a previous landlord of mine - I said that I've dealt with cr4p landlords in the past. Not necessarily as a tenant. Perhaps you should read more carefully before responding.
3. My apology for offending the OP was sincere. The OP has called me a know it all, and a troll. No apology has been forthcoming from him/her.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
