I have read the cheap train guide, but still unsure.
3 adults (two of which are over 60) and a 4 year old all going to London together for the day. What would be the cheapest way of getting a ticket? Do they still do cheap tickets where you all travel together?
This would be from Ipswich area.
Thanks!

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Do you hold any Railcards?
Would it be useful to hold a Railcard (ie, will any of the passengers be making more journeys by rail over the next year)?
If any of the adults are happy to have the 4-year-old on their lap, only the adults would require a ticket. 3 x Adult GroupSave tickets are £26.25 each http://www.brfares.com/#faredetail?orig=IPS&dest=1072&rlc=GS3&tkt=SVR
An alternative would be to purchase a Family Railcard, which would allow all 3 adults to get 1/3 off fares, including Advance fares, and the child would require a ticket, but a heavily discounted one, and you'd be able to get a seat each. Some trains on this route offer reservations and you could book a table.
Do you have an idea of when you're travelling?0
