Hi bet munch, thanks for this, but is it all right for her to be residing at he property? That's where we're getting mixed messages. We can't be in a situation where she's evicted or the house repossesed after completion. I'm scared to death, I've spent the last month in a state of utter fear.
Ahhhh, now that would cause a problem with most lenders, and to be completely honest I don't know Aldermores stance on it.
If you told the broker that she was providing the deposit AND that she would be living there then it should have been checked out in advance.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Hi betmunch, yes, told the broker, been completely honest about this, didn't even realise it could be an issue until reading all sorts of issues around the web.
Is that possible, for them to evict her or ask to repossess if she moves in with me after completion? Or would they penalise us through higher rate etc?0 -

But because you have discussed it already it should not be a problem for you.
They cannot evict her, or repossess, nor can they offer you a higher rate to allow it.
The only thing they can do is refuse to grant the mortgage in the first placeI am a Mortgage Adviser
