Bad idea to complain about broker during app?

Hi all,
Just seeking a few opinions please.
Ever since the great face to face initial meeting with my broker, everything has gone down hill in service wise since.
A few examples: never sending over forms when he said would. I chase via phone call and email. Eventually give up and called lender to send me the document.
Promised to send all my documents over to my solicitors. I chase, solicitor chases. He sends half of the documents. I took time off work to see the solicitor myself with the originals.
Valuation - this was never booked as the vendors didn't respond. Date i thought valuation took place never happened so i called EA, and lender to find out what happened myself.
Incomplete paperwork. I spoke to lender to see what the hold up was, turns out a payslip was missing as well as another form of ID. Everything was handed over to broker right at the beginning.
.. am i being too harsh? or should i complain to his manager? This is a paid (£500) broker!!! I feel like I am doubling work for myself, and being a FTB I am nervous/stressed enough about the situation as it is...
many thanks

rather than making a formal complain at this stage, you could perhaps ask his manager whether anybody else can take over from now on. explain your reasons.0

Hi, no. They are an independent, recommended to be via friends.
is the best thing to do is grin and bear? I really can't justify paying that much money for such questionable service.

I would ask the manager to take over or to assign the case to someone else.0

They are unlikely to disrupt the case and risk the commission by taking a complaint from you badly.
The suggestions above to speak to the Manager sound like a good idea.I am a Mortgage Broker

usually protocol would say if a client complained then the adviser would be removed from dealing with that client surely whilst the complaint is being investigated.0
