I believe this offer is open to everyone who has not had a trial of Amazon Prime in the past 12 months.

I had a (cancelled) Student trial ending next week- I went onto live chat and asked if I could change to the £59 Prime, they cancelled the Student properly their end and sent me a link to sign-up, which I did successfully.

My studies end July 31st so wasn't going to pay £39 for two odd weeks use as I would not be eligible after that.

With trivial items under £20, nowadays I always end up getting the identical item from Ebay, average saving £1.50 if you've decided to avoid Prime.
