Broker help! Poor credit

Hi. My husband and I were looking to buy a house next year once his bankruptcy has dropped from his credit file, but the perfect house has come on the market at a reasonable price. Is there any chance for us?

He has bankruptcy due to drop off in January 2016, and I have defaults which will drop off September next year. We were just waiting it out, but would love to know if we have a chance. Affordability wise we will be fine, it is the defaults and bankruptcy which could hold us back. We would have a 15% deposit. Any advice much appreciated, thank you.

Discuss with a broker, we don't know the intricate details on your credit file, your outgoings and salary e.t.c

There may be some options prior to the bankruptcy dropping of off your file, but it will be complex if there are also defaults.

Consult a good whole of market mortgage broker that specialises in adverse credit.

We spoke to a broker who initially said we could get a mortgage, through Kent Reliance but we were declined. He was not a specialist adverse credit broker. We were just wondering if any other brokers may have any ideas. We are assuming we can't, just hoping someone could give us some hope! We know it is a long shot.

It depends upon the absolute detail on your credit files.

There are a limited panel of lenders that would even consider this case.

    Best of luck
