Santander mortgage overpayment

Does anyone know how you overpay your mortgage, as I might be able to pay different amounts each month. It is to shorten the term of the mortgage. thanks in advance.

I make occasional overpayments. The payments can also be made via online banking - but please check with Santander which account number, sort code and reference to use.

Once a payment has gone through you need to phone them on 0845 600 0346, options 4 then 2, to apply it as a capital overpayment. They give the option to shorten the term or reduce the monthly payment. If you don't do this it is likely that they'll simply reduce your dd for the next month.
