Good Afternoon My Fellow Mortgage-Free Wannabe's.
After spending a good few years in the debt free wannabe forum, I've recently started looking forward and spending more time reading the Mortgage-Free Wannabe Boards. I think I've had more of a mindset change. Although I still have about 8 months to run on my DMP I am at a place where I see no obstacles in that regards.
A little about me, I am 36, married with 3 kids. Between us we bring in close to 4.3k a month, and once my DMP finishes will have a lot more disposable income, which we plan to pump into the mortgage.
We have recently just paid 14k off the mortgage (limited to 10%) and current balance £127,500. The plan is to overpay by 10% each year while we are in our fixed period and in about 6 years time look to remortgage into a bigger property.
I'm not sure how good I will be with the diary, but I'm hoping that it will focus my mind and be an extra tool in the quest to becoming mortgage free!
