Hello folks, Im edging closer here, but could do with some advice to get me over the line.
I have an AIP for my mortgage from Woolwich, and my credit file has actually improved since then as an old settled default fell off my file last month.
The thing is, Its getting to the point I have to sort carpets, appliances etc (its a new build). I have money saved to help towards move, but the majority of my purchase and moving costs will be paid by the equity from the sale of my existing flat.
It would help the cashflow if I could order my sofa on HP or put a few bigger purchases on my credit cards until my flat sale goes through. Will a new HP agreement or high credit card balance (albiet temporary) screw up my mortgage at the last minute?
Many thanks for any help - I need to make some decisions soon and I'm afraid of a mistep!!

Not if it is any form of risk. I can live without a sofa for a few weeks if I have to, and got out and buy my appliances the day I settle, carpeting Id kinda like to get done the day I move though.
I could ask family for a loan for a few weeks, just would rather stand on my own feet if I could0 -
There is a risk that they could see extra credit checks and/or extra credit facilities and that can alter the original accept. Wait until completion.
I ordered my carpets from the local fella. Paid on delivery, he did not even want a deposit - so that might be an option.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. For appliances try ao.com. Good prices and fast delivery with weekend slots so you could order just after completion and still have them quickly.0
