Hi guys
Well I've decided that I really need to sort out my finances ...
Ive moved all credit cards and my loan to my Barclaycard which offered 0% until 2017 .. so I've worked it out and if I contained to pay the same as what I am at the min it will be cleared by then ... so that's it ... spending is stopping and I'm sorting myself out !
Me and my 2 boys and I really want to sort myself out and teach the kids that debt is not a normal thing
Any tips would be great ... I've joined grocery challenge and following the old style boards

Morning everyone - well, we didn't get the thunderstorms that were forecast for here overnight, although there were rumbles flashes about 10 miles away.
I am glad to say that my dog made a complete recovery yesterday and is back to his usual lively self today. One less vet's bill to pay!
I managed to get cheaper caravan insurance yesterday, saving about £50. The funny thing is that it is with the same insurance company, just with a different broker.
Today, I have cycled to my veg garden (about a mile away in a relative's garden) and picked a few mange tout, broad beans and a lettuce. Not many veg ready yet, but there will be a glut soon if all goes to plan. I cooked the last French beans yesterday that I froze last year.
Called in at library for a couple of books, and picked a free magazine. Our library has an informal magazine swap - you take in one that you have finished with and take away one you want.
We have a small coop store in town and they have daily reductions. Today, I spent 75p and came away with 5 small cartons of milk and a pack of muffins. Milk will go in freezer, which I will defrost during the coming week as I need it, and muffins will be our supper tonight. Probably with cheese on!
Bob, I have great admiration for you cycling in this hot weather, especially in a big city and with your 'bump'. I have always cycled - it was a necessity when I was young as we lived out in the middle of the countryside with no car, but gave up for a while when I was pregnant. Take care!0 -
Hi mumoftwins,
are you happy that you have nailed all of your bills down? If not post an SOA and people here will cast an eye over it. Its amazing what savings can be found.
