London Reception Venue / November 2015 / Somewhere 'different'?

Hi,

My fianc! and I are getting married on the 21st of November this year and we (and all our friends) live in London.

The wedding venue is booked but we're grappling with the reception venue given that we're working on quite a tight budget (we both want to buy a house next year - as with most people in the same situation, we're finding that "Wedding Venue" is a lot like "Wedding Photographer" or "Wedding Cake" in that the price seems to increase exponentially with the "W Word")

Does anyone have any experience getting married in London and could recommend an approach or even a specific venue that they enjoyed? We're looking on the usual websites etc, any suggestions would be appreciated!

How about the knights templar (a nice spoonies!) on chancery lane? They do weddings there but I'm sure you could book it for just your reception!
