It's totally irrelevant what fiends, family or your next door neighbour have paid in taxes, they would of cost the state fair more than they have ever paid in tax especially if they are not higher rate tax payers.

so what your saying it dont matter how many off my family members have paid in taxes over so many years 1 person who says they r paying for my holiday has paid more towards my benefits than my family ever has

When your family paid tax they were not doing so for you to go on holiday, or to finance you buying sofas on credit. Tax/ NI is not a savings pot for you to dip into at a future date.

If you are continuing to buy on credit perhaps you should contact one of the debt management charities for advice on living within your means? There is more information on the Debtfree Wannabe board.

All tax payers contribute to your benefits, not just your family etc as you have said in your previous post...
I'm in receipt of DLA and ESA, I worked full-time for 30 years but would never look at it from the point of view you do.... My husband pays over £10,000 pound a year to the state but again I wouldn't look at it from your point of view... I appreciate the tax payers who continue to work hard and allow people like us to not have to live in absolute poverty... They have no choice in the matter but that doesn't mean we shouldn't say thankyou.

i know it dont work like the but when people are telling me they are paying for my benefits its the only defense i have, do you think i want to spend all my life in a wheelchair? i did not choose too be born with this disability and as greatful as i am for all the help i do receive some people seem to think they now own me or i owe them

i do not look at it as only my family pay my benefits because that is not the case but when 1 person comments thinking he is the only 1 that pays my benefits am i not entitled to be abit hostile and have a say

dude i may come over as a i want everything for nothing type of guy but that is just not the case yes i admit the getting a hliday on credit was stupid idea and i did not go ahead with it, but as for my sofa i need a new sofa to be able to sit and relax in comfort at the right height where it causes me no pain to transfer back to my wheelchair let me tell you now of course i am going too get that 1 on tick case no matter what any of u think my health needs are number 1 to me

Nobody thinks they own you but surely you can understand why people get peeved off when someone who claims benefits because they are in a wheelchair but is well enough to provide and get paid for caring for their partner but not apparently well enough to work comes onto a forum bemoaning the fact that due to self inflicted debt they can't have a holiday because nobody will give you further credit...

Maybe employment is the way forward for you and a family member could provide the care your girlfriend needs as I presume it's minimal if you are currently providing it?
