How to tell if I am paying high rate tax?

My salary is over the threshold but then I buy childcare vouchers and make pension contributions which takes me to pretty near the boundary. Is there a definitive way to find out if my employer is deducting any tax at the high (40%) rate for me?
Thanks
Thanks

ask them, even the most incompetent payroll clerk will get that bit correct, or is that too obvious?womble12345 wrote: »Is there a definitive way to find out if my employer is deducting any tax at the high (40%) rate0 -
Thanks, I will ask them but they take ages to respond and I wondered if there was an easier way to tell myself.
I have tried the MSE tax calculator but the numbers dont match my payslip so I am very confused....0 -
Put the figures up here and someone will tell you. Taxable gross, tax paid, tax code/basis, taxable pay to date, tax paid to date and week/month number.0
