I love having a smart phone. Being a developer I do honestly feel I need to have one to understand how it all works, I can't develop apps properly without a decent smartphone.
But what I did was negotiate a 0% purchase rate on my credit card and then purchase the phone second hand from CEX (has a warranty) and then get a cheap £7 a month contract. I've had the phone 2 years and have paid so much less a month paying it off. Phone was £400, contract has cost me £168 over the 2 years. So that's £568 for 2 years. If I'd got a 24 month contract I would have been paying £35 p/m = £840. £272 saving and I still get a good phone.0 -
I can do all that on my HTC, I got the phone for nothing and pay £10 month!

£10pm gets me unlimited landline calls (01, 02 and 03 numbers), 120 minutes of mobile to mobile calls, and I keep the £10 topup. :cool:0 -
