  • So I've been putting off this SOA thing and snowballing? Never done either of them but it's time to just do it. Wish me luck.

Oh and I'm also feeling pleased with myself because I left the M & S chocolate mini bites that the OH put in the fridge last week. I had cinnamon cranberries ( super yummy from the pound shop!) and almonds instead. and I have my 2 litre of water by my side.
  • Tried to refrain from posting but l couldn't help myself. Looked at my wage slip and l had not realised l pay 192.81 towards my pension!?! I also thought to myself, l really need to understand exactly what my Tax and NI goes towards. It's 500 quid of my money, l really should know right? I mean specifically.

Miss Debt, good luck with your plans firstly :)
Nowadays Youtube or smartphone apps offer good options for home workout. Yoga is one of them, especially if you have been doing it for a while, I can't see why you can't do it at home.
    ally.

Thanks for the luck Asajj, all support is so welcomed. I'm certainly not experienced enough yet but I have been speaking to my OH about this whole debate of what I should do about this whole hot yoga situation and he has offered to pay for it for the next couple of months as a birthday present. The routine is on YT which I have funny enough tried in my bathroom after a hot shower. It does feel a bit like the debt journey without the MSE community and motivation but at least MSE is free.

£192.81 is a huge sum when you also have debts. Can you ask for that to be stopped completely for the time being?

I'm going to find out. My aim is get rid of my loan by the end of 2016 and my goodness this would help and it's not like I don't have pension money already and can't start it back up again!

Exactly. And whilst you are young it's hardly the most important thing. Not compared to being debt free and on an even keel.

  • Ok, last post of the day. What started as a rather crap day has turned into a positive one with all the MSE community support.

    - I've opened a savings account with a quid to start saving towards paying of my loan
    - paid money towards credit card
    - found 13.22 sitting in my topcashback account from ages ago
    - contacted the sales people for a tradeshow I was suppose to exhibit at to cancel. I'm hoping that there is no problem cancelling!
    - look through the SOA and snowballing, I'm on the right track but August will certainly be brighter
    - realised that my loan is not 8600, that's only if I left it for the whole term which I will not be doing!
    - got my yoga paid for by my OH for a few months.

    To do:-
    Sort insurances
    Get some tupperware
    Batch meal prep
    Have 3 more NSDs
    Sign up for surveys
    Sign up for mystery shopping
    Sign up for focus groups
    Do the money magpie thing

    Have a wonderful evening all
