Never bothered. Tried using vinegar a couple of times and it made the load in the machine foam up so much it was coming back out of the soap dispenser! So stopped doing that and just used washing powder. If nappies were badly soiled we rinsed them off in the toilet and washed at 60degrees. Otherwise we washed at 40deg from what I can remember.0

I nrever bothered either. Dry pailed, washed at 60 with a 1/4 of the amount of liquid recommended with a couple of drops of tea-tree oil in it and a couple of caps of vinegar in the rinse. If anybody is having problems with nappies still smelling it could be that theres detergent trapped in the fibres, I had this problem and ended up doing 1 wash in 4 without any detergent at all (and there were still lots of foam in the water) this seemed to cure the problem.Sorting my life out one day at a time0
