I was thrilled to take a call from Katie at the Observer Magazine today telling me I'd won the competition to attend a special dinner at the Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in October. Dinner at Le Manoir at any time would be amazing, but Raymond Blanc will be cooking himself with Bruno Loubet as part of a series of Dîners des Prot!g!s.
Accommodation and breakfast are included, and I just feel blessed to win such a brilliant prize. I remember seeing the competition at the time, and thinking how green with envy my son would be, him being an enthusiastic cook, and food and wine buff. Strangely he hasn't replied to my email with his congratulations yet..........
