NRAM still showing on call credit - suddenly feeling very worried...
Homecoming
I am really hoping that someone can put my mind at rest, because I feel sick with worry after having signed up for a Noddle account earlier today.
I submitted notices of disassociation with all three credit reference agencies, and Equifax and Experian both said they would remove my ex-husband from my file (although I still need to get the statutory reports to check this - I will be doing this ASAP).
Call credit said they couldn't, as they still had live accounts with us both named. They shouldn't, as they were all written off in my bankruptcy. NRAM were insanely difficult at the time and refused to stop chasing me for the money for over a year.
So my noddle report shows an unsecured loan and my old mortgage account, still active with current defaults. I thought I would just send the letter from the sticky on this board, as the last time I spoke to them they agreed they were wrong to still be chasing the debts.
The thing that is worrying me, is that I (being a worrier that likes to check things out in depth first) googled liability for shortfalls after bankruptcy and repossession. Unfortunately, while some results backed me up that I don't owe anything, some said that the bankrupt person would still be liable for the shortfall. The remaining balance on the account is about £30k, after the house was repossessed and sold by NRAM.
Both the secured part of the mortgage and the attached unsecured loan were included in my bankruptcy petition.
I am scared...can anyone please advise?
ETA: I just got a statutory report from Equifax, and they are still showing as defaulted on there too. Also, my ex is still on there, despite Equifax telling me he had been removed. :-/

You are not liable.
Any default MUST be backdated to the date of you bankruptcy and marked as satisfied on your reports.
NRAM will most likely try to deny that they must do this, and you may need to go to the FOS.
Some info to read in these links.

Thank you.
I can go through the letter-writing process and can complain to FOS if I need to, I just had a sudden horrible thought that they might have been able to make me pay the shortfall (and I don't think I could face having to make myself bankrupt all over again!).
Thank you for the links, very helpful. I have my bankruptcy order to hand, and will dig out the letter from the OR confirming my discharge date. I am hoping I can avoid paying for a certificate from the court, simply because of the cost, but will find the money somehow if it is needed.
I remember at the time I asked them to confirm in writing what they agreed over the phone but they never did...I should have perhaps chased it but I was so relieved that they had stopped calling multiple times a day that I just let it go...:coffee: Don't dream it, be it :coffee:0 -
Took me age to get NRAM to finally update my credit files following discharge and repo of the house. I sent numerous letters both recorded and un recorded with no reply's from them.
One thing I did do is email them at 9am every morning at customerrelationsgosforth@n-ram.co.uk
In the end I finally got a letter back , could have been after a good 60 plus days of the same email being sent every morning , apologising and they also give me a cheque of £50 to say sorry and to confirm I would not raise the complaint again
