Rent from Ex - worried about beneficial interest

Would really appreciate some advice

I am seriously considering bankruptcy - I have a low income and no assets. Have had a DMP and an IVA but can't really afford to make any kind of reasonable repayments.

I rent a house from my ex and it's virtually impossible for me to move, no deposit, no guarantor and dodgy credit worthiness. (I am on the council waiting list).

My question is would the OR consider that I have beneficial interest in this property because I used to live here with my ex? How do they decide on these things?

I have no idea if there is any equity in the property - would I be expected to find out and provide this information?

Many thanks
