No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries July 2015

  • Another UU today :j

    2. Johnson's Gentle Eye Make Up Remover Pads (30). I'm a bit undecided about these to be honest. They did the job but they did sting ever so slightly but then the price is good. Bit annoying that I had to alternate which way round I stood the pot so that the remover wasn't in all of the bottom pads. Will replace for the time being with an almost full Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. It says that 400ml = 200 uses so it should keep me going for a bit! :rotfl:

    That's great news hieveryone, congratulations!

    Couple of UUs
Elemis hand and nail cream - really very nice but quite runny. WMBA
Rimmel shimmer tan I think it was called. One of the few instant tans which is the right colour for my pale skin. But very glittery. I never seem to be able to use up a whole bottle in one summer, so I am reluctant to spend too much in case it goes off. Lots more fake tan in the stash anyway WMBA

UU tube of Arm & Hammer toothpaste - love this stuff but have a handful of tubes so enough's enough!
    Looking ahead

On a roll with UUs due to the hot weather:

Sure women crystal deodorant - WBA as it does not leave stains.
Korres Citrus Shower gel - WNB, didn't think it was anything special and it aggravated my eczema.
Montagne Jeunesse Apple & cucumber face mask - WMBA, my least favourite from the pack so far.
Body shop Vit E cream - WMB, the watery texture works well with my dry skin.

Hello lovely ladies and thanks for the new thread. I'm in again for another month although I must confess that I have succumbed to several purchases over the past few months, one of which was Alpha-H Liquid Gold 200ml to make sure my skin looked good for my wedding. I also bought a L'Occitane Almond Cleansing & Soothing Shower Oil 250ml last week for a bargain price of £10.87 as I have always wanted to try it. :o

Thanks again for all the congratulations on my wedding last month. I'm slowly getting back to normal but I still haven't updated my spreadsheet with ins and use ups or compiled a new Project Pan list! I'm not really sure how we have reached July already....

Finally a cheeky but earnest request: I am doing a 10 mile charity walk in Exmouth for Hospiscare this Saturday. Hospiscare is a charity providing free of charge care, advice and dedicated support to terminally ill people and their families. If anybody would be kind enough to sponsor me even just one pound I would be very grateful - every single penny will make a difference. Please PM me for a link if you are interested. Many thanks. :)
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

Really annoyed, I've got lush lip scrub and some gorgeous lip balms to use up and I've gone and fainted and put two teeth through my top lip, really done a good job of it :-( it's looking like I need stitches in the morning. No lip scrub for me now for a long time :-(

Before I had my accident today I uu:

Tesco spa bath cream - WBA I'm not keen on the body lotion but I did like this as a bath cream, it made a ton of bubbles.

Eta babafette - I will happily sponsor you, if you could pm me the link I'll get some pennies on way to you :-)

Ouch gemzie that sounds ally nasty, hope it heKs well and isn't too painful.

Not so much a UU as a merge, I had two almost used talcs so I've tipped them both into one container so I get get rid of one lot of packaging.
Also TA an old sunblock, we've had it years so probs not effective anymore, I bought a new one during the hot weather but I don't really list suncream as its a buy as needed essential.

    Edit
UU two bottles of shampoo and a conditioner only dregs in them all so they all had the final rinse out to get used up.

Hope it will be better soon Gemzie!

Just painted my nails with Butter London Sloane Ranger. A bit dark for summer but first time I have used this varnish and it is good quality. Purchased from TKMaxx a while ago and not sure I'd pay £13 for it though.

One IN - well a freebie. Liz Earler Travel size hot cloth cleanser + muslin cloth! Unexpected!
    ally.
