The 9th July is down as our completion date, the solicitor is requesting our mortgage funds for this date so we can complete - but he's not yet told us he's exchanged! They did say they could exchange/complete on the same day but I'm aware that until exchange happens the vendor isn't committed to the sale... so that's me on pins until the 9th!
Has anyone else had this problem?!

I did same day exchange/completion on my house.
Had to call in a favour to get the funds released on the day needed though but that was because the property was in Mr and Mrs name and she had passed away but he had no death certificate so was all a bit of a rush job but it helps if you know people.

Thanks for the replies , glad to hear it's relatively routine. Should it take long for santander to transfer the money over? Our solicitor is giving them decent notice but it took 24 hrs for our transfer to go through!
