I’d like to do a part time commission only sales job, I work Monday to Friday so looking for something for evenings and weekends where you also get offered some training

I have done street promotions for clubs but I was pretty bad at it. It’s a job where basically they send you on the streets with no training whatsoever: I made zero money every single night, as there’s lots of cut throat competition from other promoters and people in general dislike them as they see promoters as a pest

I enquired about a couple of charity street fundraiser jobs where there is actually a training scheme, but these jobs are only full time

My aim is not only to make money but also to learn some basic sales skills which could help me in my career

Any other ideas?

I live in London if that makes any difference

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but you could try Younique, Avon, Mary Kay and the like if you're interested in beauty? Can do parties, or do it mostly online? It's good for fitting around a schedule.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

a guy I work with does 2 evenings a week plus a Saturday morning in a local shopping centre standing at one of those stalls to get people to switch energy suppliers. He gets paid a small fee for everyone that switches and says he was trained by shadowing a colleague for a couple of weeks.
im sure there are little stands/kiosks like this in every shopping centre, ive even seen them in the foyer of big B&Qs, doing sales for utility companies, Sky/Virgin etc. Most of them are not employed directly by the company for which they are selling the products, but an outsourced consumer sales company.
It might be worth approaching people in these kiosks and asking who they are employed by, or how they got the job, if something like that would interest you.Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -
Also google outsourced consumer sales. there are a large number of companies that do direct marketing and sales campaigns all over the UK. EA Worldwide has a base in London, Atlas Outsourcing are in Liverpool, but many do UK wide promotions. Might be worth a bit of time contacting to see if any do part time hoursMortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190

@Vanya, I am a guy, so not sure about Avon, probably not
@Engineer Amy, thank you very much, I'll give it a shot. I always assumed those people were full time?0 -

Oops sorry!
I have a friend who goes door to door for the local water supplier at weekends to check if anyone needs help with water saving advice or help with their water meter. She works for Southern Water. Not sure if there'd be a similar opportunity near you but it might be worth ringing your local water company? It pays very well, around £10-£11/hour but it is all-weather work around the year and sometimes in rougher neighbourhoods.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -

Some companies may only offer full time, you wont know until you ask. Im in Belfast and apparently the girl that my colleague works for is a franchise of a mainland company, all enquiries about any NI based campaigns get directed to her and she is responsible for staffing the campaign, via any means necessary - full time, part time, casual etc. You may find something similar on the mainland, there will be a representative looking after certain areasMortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -

ah thanks, I might give it a shot then. Don't you need to have your own flat to work for Avon (to throw the parties at) ?
The Thames Water job also looks interesting, any other companies that give similar opportunities part time ?
Thank you everyone0 -
