Hi, my hubby is 50 this year and when he was 40 i gave him a box of 40 gifts. I wish to do this again but i am financially challenged at the moment so I am wondering is anyone could give me any ideas of what i can include?
I can spend but i really want to do it as cheaply as possible. He is getting an expensive gift so these will be little fun things so to speak
Home made is good
Your help is appreciated x

You could get him a 1965 Churchill crown for around £2 from ebay. As one present. For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0

if you google there are things you might print off such as images or events from 1965.
images here;http://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2015/03/50-years-ago-a-look-back-at-1965/387493/
events by the day here :http://www.historyorb.com/events/date/1965
Or you pick events that happened on his birthday for every 10 years.
We have some sweet shops that sell old fashioned sweets. What did he buy as a child? You may well be able to still get some!
Children's toys- you can pick from 20s onwards- I know these are from USA & to sell but might give you an idea or two!

Could buy Readers Digest or other mag from the month of his birth.
I did an album for hubby's 60s in May.
Just bought a cheap album with 60 sleeves and then copied 60 pictures from his past and called it '60 HAPPY MEMORIES'.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
I typed 1965 in Wikipedia ( may or may not be true)and the whole year day by day shows up, Churchills funeral a golden eagle recaptued Tom and Jerry first shown. Loads of things get a brew and have a look it may give you some ideas. One of my own though from my ten year old D.S school project is that Chewitts were introduced this year.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

you could make some homemade sweets or spiced nuts, turn an recycled jar into a savings pop, make a sticker to go on it : mid life crisis sports car funds, holiday savings etc. do him an IOU cheque book, for foot rub, fav meal, massage etc or a saucy IOU one lol xxOne day I will live in a cabin in the woods0

It is a very sweet and beautiful idea to gift your husband a box of 50 gifts. You can include home made sweets, key rings, cards with some love notes on it, photo album, love letter which will make him feel special too and you can also include some things as a gift which he wanted for a long time and the things which are useful for him too.0

This is such a cute idea! Its reminds me of the "52 things I love about you" made with playing cards http://www.instructables.com/id/52-Things-I-Love-About-You-Card/
I recently made my Dad a spotify playlist for his 50th with a song from each of the last 50 years that he really loved, maybe something you could think about doing?0 -
I've heard people do their own vouchers for things like shoulder rubs, foot rubs and so on.0
