Joint mortgage to sole (but keeping joint!)

Sorry if I am replicating old posts firstly....
I currently own 1/2 a flat (with joint mortgage). However, I am moving and would like to own my own place.
Is it possible to maintain the joint mortgage, and have a secondary (sole applicant) residential mortgage on a second property?
Thanks

Yes, subject to affordability and lender selection.
