Help! Need 3k Loan (newbie!)

Hi, I need a 3k loan asap to pay off a debt and im so lost its unbelievable. I've been reading articles on this site about all the different loans available but im really confused as the majority just seem to be available if you have excellent credit. I have checked and my credit is rated as "fair" so I presume these good rates will not apply? I dont know what to do as if my credit is not that good then I dont want to go and apply, get declined, then my credit get worse!!Im not earning super money and even worse my contract is through a temp agency and I have no idea if lenders will decline me because of this (my guess is yes - even though I know my job is stable). So I guess the bottom line question I want to as is this; who will lend a 23/yo with a full time job (through an agency) on around £16k a £3k loan that hasn't got an extortionate rate. Any advise GREATLY welcomed. Thanks

Many people on here will give the advice to go over to the debt free wannabes board as if your already in debt and struggling so why take on more debt.

With regards to getting a loan its hard when your profile is fair. I got a high APR Credit card (capital one)and i pay it off in full each month as i keep the money i spend aside and hopefully after 6 months it will improve!
I did the downward spiral of applying then getting declined then applying as i didnt know it affected your credit.

You could try a pay rise or changing jobs as then you may be able to cope!

    Hope this helps.

Try ZOPA I am not sure what credit rating they will give you the better the rating the lower the rate. http://www.zopa.com/ZopaWeb/

They match Joe publics who are happy to lend with those wanting to borrow and the rates are generally better than the high street

They usually want good credit ratings though

Im not currently in debt so im not sure what you mean? maybe I should be clearer on what the money is for! Basically I crashed a car and it ended up being a write off and 3k is still outstanding that I need to pay in full ASAP. now I dont have "bad" credit but because im young and dont earn that much I suppose thats why i've only got "fair" credit. I should also point out my job is not temporary, just through an agency. Are there any companies that are likely to accept me? or any advice as I need to sort this out ASAP or I will get a CCJ against me :-(. Thanks in advance.

why does the loan for the car need to be paid off just because the car has been crashed?
why can't you sinply continue to pay the loan off?

Well basically the car was written off, the payment protection paid off the remainder of the loan apart from a £3k defecit. They didnt pay the rest of the £3k due to a loophole which they added into their terms, needless to say the loan company took me and the payment protection company to court and I lost so now have to pay £3k within a month or have a CCJ on my credit history... Now anyone got any ideas on who will lend me £3k? as I dont want to damage my credit history by being stuck with a CCJ or being declined for a loan! Thanks.
