bank fees for mortgages

Hi everyone,

My sister has a mortgage or about £90000.00 with the Bank of Scotland she was looking at her statements. When she took the mortgage out they charged £950 which they say is a application fee. They also charge litigation fees of £250 + solicitor fees of £650 when she fell back on payment 2 years ago.
They have also charged for unpaid direct debit payments and late payments which also add up to about £600.00

Dose anyone know what these charge are or if they can be clamied back.

The application fee is just like buying any other product. If you dont like the 'price' then you go elsewhere. The charges would have been detailed on the paperwork.

The other fees service charges, not penalty charges, so cant be claimed back. There have been plenty of threads similar to this and the answer is always the same.
