I have now finally had a letter back from Brit Insurance. They say that I would need to take my complaint up with Access as they were the acting agent.
The complaint can be made to ftaylor@accessstorage.com

Hopefully, rachelm776 will have already made the complaint last August when that particular discussion was current..
  • They have emailed me a copy of the original agreement regarding the insurance. As my friend initially signed the agreement as my passport/ licence had expired , they say their insurance has been signed for however the unit has since been transferred into my name but I haven't signed anything

You'd need a new agreement rather than a simple transfer of your friend's contract. If your friend has agreed to insurance for a specified length of time then you (or your friend) will have to continue to honour it to it's conclusion.
How have you transferred the unit into your name without signing anything?
  • I know, i have asked the same question. They know i haven't signed anything. I requested the licence agreement signed by my friend be sent to me but it is very faint and i cannot see the writing properly . They are posting it to me. I haven't paid this months invoice as yet?

I doubt you'll be able to wriggle out of paying for the insurance if your friend has agreed to it and you have agreed to pay it for him.
