Hi,
In february this year my wife lost her job because her role has been made redundant. Now I see that the company adversises two positions for the same role in the same location. Are there any limits on how quickly the company can reintroduce the redundant role?

As far as I am aware there is no set time limit in which an employer cannot re-advertise a position previously made redundant
I am also of the opinion that redundancies occur so that the remaining company can get rid of higher paid staff to employ cheaper..
Wonder what happens if you were to re-apply (only say this because I'm approaching past employers, past job offer turn downs and actually have had some interesting results that I would never have believed)0 -
There is no period. But the rule of thumb is three months - after which you can't submit a tribunal claim for unfair dismissal. That said, the classic defence is that circumstances have changed since the redundancy, and that generally works anyway because it's almost impossible to prove otherwise.0
