Mortgage redemption- overpayment

Recently sold my house and redeemed my mortgage.

The final figure was from a redemption statement issued on 23/05.

My mortgage was redeemed on 12/06.

I made a payment on 01/06.

Am I dye a refund of that payment or was it included in the redemption figure?

Coventry building society

Thanks

Did you not get an up to date figure from CBS on the day ? Best speak to them directly?

You will owe interest on the amount from the date of the redemption statement to the date when the mortgage was settled. This will be offset by the repayment you made between these dates.

Repayment amount less Accumulated interest = Amount repayable to you

It won't be your full repayment amount you get back though.

Abbey took a mortgage payment on the day I sold my house, after I complained that my settlement was short changed they sent a cheque six weeks later.
They said they had nowhere to place the funds, although I banked with them (but not for much longer after that)
I have a deep burning indifference
