advice please

hi
i am new on here and have a qustion for you guys and girls.
i was made bankrupt on 07/08 but have yet to see the OR.
my dept to one creditor is £145.000 and £8.0000 another creditor.
question 1, with only £100 exess lft over each month after outgoings, do you guys and girls think that the OR will apply for a repayment plan.
question 2, do you think that the OR will remove some household items to pay his/her fee.
thanks for taking time to read this this.

  • oops that should have been £8.000 NOT £8.0000:eek:
  • Hi & welcome. :)

The OR will look at your SOA & decide whether the figures you've given are acceptable. He'll also assess whether you can be allowed money for all the things that cost your money, or whether some of the amount should be reduced - for instance, some people have had their housekeeping costs reduced. Every case is different though, so don't assume they'll find fault with your paperwork. Once they've done that, they'll decide whether an Income Payment Order/Agreement is required. If you think you've got a surplus income of £100pm, it's quite likely that you may get an IPA of £50pm - you can get an idea of the figures here.

As for removing some items, they may remove some things from your SOA but they won't be coming to your home to remove actual goods. That rarely happens, & only in cases where fraud & other serious acts are involved. :)
  • thanks for that.
just to add, the outgoings are things like = food bill 3 x adult & 2 x children £100.
    gas & electric = £ 20.pw
    telephone = £10 p.w
wifes car running cost, petrol £20 pw. servicing/ mot/ tax £10 pw.
    school travel £ 8 pw.
    hair cuts £5 pw.
    ect. ect.
do you think that these are about average. ?.
    THANKS
  • I wouldn't have thought they'd have an issue with those. You can have a look at this to get an idea of the figures they take into account - they are guide figures, not hard & fast amounts, but they will give you an idea of what they look at. :)
  • thanks for your help
