Hi everyone
I'm pretty new, so if these are stupid questions I'm sorry...
Me and my husband have about £15k for a deposit on a house, the only issue we have is that I have a default on my credit file from 2011. This has been cleared for around 18 months now, and neither of us have any credit in any way. All accounts are clear and all we pay out is rent, bills and child care every month.
Due to my default, my parents have offered to be a guarantor for a mortgage application, which I'm hoping will really help!
I just wanted to see if anyone had any experiences with situations like this, and wanted to see if there is any chance of getting a mortgage while having the default still on my file!
Again, apologies if I'm asking silly questions, just thought I would take a stab in the dark!!
Thanks!!

There will be lenders for this, rates will vary depending on how much £15k represents as a percentage of the deposit but you could find that you get high street rates.
