I have filled in the online forms with CCCS and received a Debt Remedy which I've printed out. I don't entirely agree with the solution for reasons I won't bore you with but that seems to be the end of it from their angle.
I thought that CCCS would go on to negotiate with my creditors on my behalf but it appears that it all stops here. Or am I wrong?
I need to act fairly soon but I simply don't know what to do next.

The CCCS will negotiate with your creditors if you enter into a DMP or an IVA with them as far as I'm aware.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

From memory, that is just their suggestion from the info you provided, if you then wish to go ahead you go into more detail with them.

In the case of a DMP with the CCCS (and I don't know what solution was suggested to you...) If you do take it further, you are given a pack with which you write to your creditors and let them know you are entering your DMP. Once set up, you pay the CCCS once a month and they distribute your payments for you.0 -
I would suggest you ring the CCCS and speak with an advisor, the on line facility I think is there for people who want to do things themselves. When you phone they will take basic information and arrange a telephone interview/appointment and talk things through with you in more detail and assist you with what you decide to do from there.Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 880

if you dont agree with CCCS then its important that you discuss this ..a DMP may last years so its important that you are as comfortable as possible with the proposal.
either post on here so you can get feed back and/or discuss again with them.
what was the proposed way forward... why did they say you should contact your creditors .. is this only for the first contact? or what0 -
Clapton, CCCS suggested bankruptcy which I'm not keen on as I've just discovered a possible good source of income to help me and it would mean that I need to retain my bank account, eBay account and PayPal account.
I've printed out my Debt Remedy but it doesn't really tell me what to do next or how I can obtain more help from CCCS. I emailed them yesterday ('phoning is difficult during working hours) but I've received no reply.0 -
Hi, I don't know anything about CCCS, I have been in a DMP with Payplan for the last 4 years, we initially did and Income & Expenditure, they then used the surplus amount to write to my creditors and make prorata offers of payment. They sorted it all out and I just pay a monthly amount to them by direct debit. Hope you get sorted soon.0
