Mortgage Redemption Letter

Hi,

I had an email from my solicitor I am using who is helping sell my house. They had a mortgage redemption letter from my mortgage provider, Santander, saying i owe £149,488.75 (including Early repayment charges). This statement was on June 16th.

But in May (12th) i enquired with Santander about repaying my mortgage + the ERC and they sent me a redemption statement with the figure = £148,380.75

I am really puzzled to as why the redemption statement sent to the solicitors in June is nearly £1100 higher than the one I received in May? Plus since the May statement, I have made another mortgage payment - so that should slightly be less. Not £1100 more.

Can anyone provide any insight to this?

We had same issue with bank of Ireland. When I completed and was paid the equity I called BoI and they paid me back the difference. They gave no explanation though

The latest payment may not show on the redemption statement depending on the space of time between the two.

Otherwise... Ring Santander. Not enough information there for any of us to figure it out.
