I took out health insurance with simply health and my policy costs me 25 pounds per month. My contact lenses cost me 30 pounds per month . u could effectively have it one month and get all ur contact lenses 4 the year paid from what I can see. Max value on this policy 250 per year for eye care and 250 for dental care. As I have both eyes and teeth to sort out at mo I thought this was a bargain.I am not if u can take out like this but [Removed].

Hi, I've just been looking at this but can't see the benefits you mention. For example, level 4 cover offers £195 dental and £190 optical cover and costs £34.50 a month. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place?

They do not cover pre-existing conditions, so unless you started needing contact lenses after taking the policy, they will not pay for them. (See their online FAQs).

Also, when you renew for the next year, anything claimed for will be pre-existing, so again, not covered.
