I have to say can't be bothered with clearing cookies and messing I am on so many competition log ons etc that it takes more time than the pennies are worth.

Quidco is enough for me, I do ipoints too for hubbys christmas presents that is a standing comp we have, who can earn the most ipoints in a year and thats all we spend on each other.

Also I am doing surveys daily and its a pain in the bum having to re-do passwords etc and I get far more in surveys than clicks!

    But Quidco definately rocks!

    Hiya Rayday!

On my computer I have the option just to clear the cookies, which leaves the saved passwords, the autocomplete forms and history intact.

I downloaded a program called CCleaner, which sits in a little button next to the Start button, and all I need to do is click this and the cookies disappear - takes about a second. I found out about it on another board here a few weeks ago and it seems to be great. When you install it, you have the option to clear all sorts of other stuff at the same time, but you can set it just to clear cookies.
  • ooh that soundsgood pandapaws! I stopped doing the daily clicks a while ago for the same reasons rayday mentions above but would start again if I couldkeep my passwords etc saved. Where can I downoad this ccleaner?

I found the link somewhere on here originally. I think it was just:

    www.ccleaner.com

As far as I can remember it was fairly quick and simple to install (and free obviously!), I got a little bit fuddled with the options when setting it up, but I think that if you just select the 'cookies' option it should be fine - I think I selected to delete temp files and history as well, but I didn't go for any of the registry stuff (because I didn't understand it).

Once I had it on my main desktop page, I dragged the icon down to the little quick-start menu beside the Start button, so I just need to click that to open it without looking for it in a menu. It opens a box, you just click 'run cleaner', and depending on how long since you last used it and how much stuff it has to clean, it takes anything from a split-second upwards. Much quicker/easier than doing it through the IE menus!

I didn't really know what I was doing, but mine works great, so you should be ok with it!

I'm panicking a bit about my Quidco.

About a week or so ago, I took out home insurance via Quidco for cashback of £80 ish. When I rang my current insurer to cancel, they offered to beat the new quote, including the cashback amount (which isnt always guaranteed is it).

Anyway, I decided to stay with my current insurer, saving myself £160 on their renewal quote price. I rang the new company and cancelled within the 14 days, no problem........or so I thought.

The new company have validated £50 cashback on my Quidco account, even though I have since cancelled the policy.

    What will happen now

Don't worry about it. The worst that can happen is they will decline it. The best that can happen is they will pay you anyway :j.

    Thanks for that.

I've been checking my Quidco account every day, praying they will take it off my account - dont want to be accused of abusing the system or anything :o

OOh, hadn't seen that one - I don't smoke either, but I bet you could probably even sell the kit on Ebay for a quid!!!

Cheers - will look out for it!
