Below you'll see the postcode and details of a house that last sold in 2005. Just tell us how much you think it sold for and you could win a kitchen kitted out with fantastic SMEG appliances.
The property in question
It's a freehold, terraced , 4-bedroom house* in London's St John's Wood area - the stomping ground of celebs like Kate Moss and Jude Law. It's also moments away from Lord's Cricket Ground - you can almost hear the sound of leather on willow.
The question is, how much would a house like this have cost back in 2005? With thinkproperty.com, it's easy to find out.
Terms
Closing date 24th October 2007, 12pm. The winner will be selected at random and notified by phone or email within 28 days from the closing date. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. A maximum of one entry per person. No purchase necessary. All data entry fields must be completed. Promotion open to UK residents over 17 years of age, except employees of GMG, our promotional partners, their families, friends or agents. After you've clicked the link, at the bottom of that page you have to 'search now' and on the bottom of the next page it says 'value the property'.
I was so careful with my valuation I entered £16 not £1.6 mill!!! I was still entered into the comp, but the email I got told me I was useless at valuations!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

Can't believe I didn't scroll down posts! I just looked at OP and guessed £1605K. Got email back saying very close to £1.6M and have been entered for draw. Now I've just looked at other posts and seen kysira's post with the answer. Doh!WINS 2009 so far £212

I doubt you did. After reading your email, I triple-checked that I had 1.6 million, and it still told me I'd put down £16. The website is clearly unable to handle words - make sure you put it all down in numbers. I've complained - we'll see what they say.0 -
£1,600,000 is what I accidentally put and it still said I was a hot shot at valuations and that I had put 16M0

Um, I think you might have missed a decimal point there somewhere - £1.6M is what the house was valued at, and that's the same as £1,600,000, so i imagine if you look at that email again, it'll have said 1.6M, not 16.0
