Here in sunny Plymouth, don`t think that houses are back to 2008 prices. It is certainly a city that massively improved over the last 20 years or so.

    Just look at this. http://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/36984764?search_identifier=f1c279427755b5deece19c38c599c9cc#m3VuwTuhPD3rdSdv.97

On street parking. Close to 2 parks and a liitle over a mile from the city centre.

TDepends which "average" you use for the average price. Where I am Land Registry monthly and quarterly averages have a 20% difference!

Isn't Plymouth a bit of a hell hole? Never been myself but a couple of mates in the SW reckon that it is.

Why the nw? It's ok here :)

It's ok in the NE too.
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Not really gen. So much better than it used to be.Teaching hospitals, lots of further education to my mind has been a great stimulus to the area. The pictures shown are right and a lot more can be added.

Sadly, for a long time, it was reliant on the dock yard. At it`s peak , I believe that it employed 10`s of thousands. A lot of the armed forces have gone and the dock yard has shrunk hugely, yet there is a buzz there that is new.

Over the years I think that it has improved by the amount of immigrants who have set up business. If communications were better, poor rail service and no motorway, I think that there would be a mini boom there.
