Dont be embarrased! keep a little notebook with you (or use your phone) and keep track of everything you spent, you'll be suprised where it all goes. We've all been there done that, but youre sorting it out :-)Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -
Ooh thanks for helping me with the signatures rockm87! I have managed to update it.
The great news is I finally have my car back- and the problem was deemed as coming under warranty so they have fixed it free of charge (they had to put an entire new engine in so I am so grateful!). I think Elly68 your question is right, do I really need the car? I currently walk to work but my little girl goes to childcare which is 3 miles in the other direction so I drop her in the car. Also I do Oncall work and it's not safe to walk to work in the middle of the night so I take the car then. I am going to dig my bike out and try using it for a month and if it goes well, get rid of my car.
Spendholic I am great at meal planning, until I get home from work and decide I don't want what's on the planner and nip to the local (overpriced) shop instead!
So I have some really amazing news, I got paid today and I've had a large tax rebate (after arguing with them for ages that they were taking off too much!). Instead of frittering it away like I usually would, I paid it straight to my Barclaycard, that means I've reduced this to £217.45!!
I've managed to pick up some extra evening shifts at work. It will be hard being away from my little girl but the money will really help and I want to get the emergency find properly up and running!Debt 1: Barclaycard £443.80

Wow, just realised it's been a few days since I last posted- I've been without internet as our new package with BT was due to start but (despite the router box being postbox sized) the post man didn't deliver it and it was a few days before I could get to the sorting office!
I'm very excited because next week I have a job interview for a new job which will pay me £400 a month more than what I am paying now, it's also in an area I am interested in so really hoping to get it- just think what that money would do for my debts!
I've been very well behaved and haven't been spendy at all! This is despite mooching round the shops on Sunday with two of my friends. We went for a coffee but my friend treated me as I had bought for her last time so all in all a lovely afternoon out for free!
Next week I've a few days off work with my little one, hope the weather stays good and we can spend lots of time in the park!Debt 1: Barclaycard £443.80
